Global Manager - Iron/Blast Furnace
Location: Germany or France (perhaps other in Europe)
(A major European refractories manufacturer)
An senior professional with extensive experience in the application of refractories in the iron/blast furnaces industry.
The person will work with sales, technical engineers and service, production and R&D to ensure:
1. Optimal value for customer and company
2. Effective promotion of services and products to the marketplace
3. Extensive work with R&D to improve products to optimize offer to the customers
4. Supervise trials and services to the customers
5. Oversee introduction of new materials/products/services into the market; optimize timing, methods, etc
Emphasis can be more on managing global projects or overall technical marketing - or both.
Requires:
1. Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.
2. A minimum of a four-year degree in materials science, chemical engineering, metallurgy,chemistry, etc
3. Willingness to travel to customers sites (30% - 45% travel)

Market Segment Manager, Thermal/kiln applcations, refractories
Location: Germany or France (perhaps other in Europe)

An senior professional with extensive experience in the application of refractories in multiple areas: thermal, incineratory, utility, kilns, miscellaneous industries.Prefer signficant experience in monolithics.
The person will work with sales, technical engineers and service, production and R&D to ensure:
1. Optimal value for customer and company
2. Effective promotion of services and products to the marketplace
3. Extensive work with R&D to improve products to optimize offer to the customers
4. Supervise trials and services to the customers
5. Oversee introduction of new materials/products/services into the market; optimize timing, methods, etc
This is a technical marketing role - not a sales role, though a sales engineer is likely a good fit. There is extensive work in promotions as well as addressing technical issues. There is also extensive travel to customer locations.

Refractory installation/project managers needed both for single-country and regional application. The positions can be in several areas (person can manage projects in more than one area):
- Iron/Steel
- Non-ferrous metals (primary and secondary)
- Thermal/Cement
- Petrochemical
Person needs experience in refractory (or very similar) engineering, design, installation. Must be able to work in and office and travel to customer locations. Prefer a technical engineering degree. Organic Chemist:
Location: Lyon, France
An organice chemist to work with organic binders in refractory applications. Knowledge and experience of heavy hydrocarbon distillation, coal-tar and petroleum-derived aliphatic compounds needed. Very helpful to have knowledge of phenolic and related resins, high-temperature behaviour of carbonaceous compounds in oxidizing and reducing conditions, etc. Must be interested in working in an R&D setting -but very closely with production and applications. This is a "get dirty" laboratory formulation, testing and piloting position.
Can be experienced (3- 5 years) or a junior scientist just out of school. Must have a degree.
The person must speak English; French extremely usefull.
Sales: Eastern Europe
Multiple positions: Eastern European countries to include: Hungary, Estonia, Latvia, Bulgaria, Macendonia, Serbia, Croatia. More coming
Manage the technical sales of monolithic refractories into multiple markets in the territory. Home-based position. Must have experience in one or more refractory areas (Iron/steel, cement, furnaces/thermal, petrochemical). Must have experience with the sales, engineering, installation of refractories throughout the cement manufacturing process. Experience in monolithic applications preferred. Also can be a person that works in purchasing/procurement with a refractory product customers that is outgoing, likes sales and it technically good. Home-based positions.
Petrochemical Refractories
Several openings in the corporate petrochemical refractories team. Location: Netherlands (possibly Germany), India and Asia
Local and regional project Manager (installation with some design/engineering experience)
Local and regional technical sales manager (all over Europe and other areas)
Positions report cross-functionally to a global manager of petrochemical applications and to regional directors. Must have experience in the application and (if appropriate) sales of refractories, insulation or closely related equipment or services to the petrochemical industries.
Requires technical university degree. Must speak English; other languages welcome and advantageous
